Spring Surprises – Easter trail on the York Quest App!
Spring Surprises! The Easter Bunny and his friends have taken up residence in York city centre this Spring. But can you track them all down?
The York Quest AR (augmented reality) mobile app is back with NEW games for the Easter holidays. The ‘Spring Surprises’ quest encourages families into the city to find a series of characters who are hidden around York’s historic streets. The York Quest app is free to use and is available now on Google Play Store or App Store. The ‘Spring Surprises’ quest will be available until 17th April.
Holy Week and Easter Highlight Services at York Minster
Palm Sunday, Sunday 2 April
Palm Sunday is the first day of Holy Week and the Sunday before Easter Day. On this day the cathedral commemorates Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem.
Good Friday, Friday 7 April
On Good Friday, Christians remember the crucifixion of Jesus. York Minster will be given to prayer and worship only on this day. All are welcome, whether to join acts of worship, to pray on their own.
Easter Day, Sunday 9 April
On Easter Day, Christians celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead on the third day after his crucifixion.
