With Hallowmas celebrations fast approaching, the residents of Sleepy Hollow spin tall tales of legends and unsightly entities. But who can tell truth from nightmare? Ichabod Crane enters an eerie world of secrets and unsettling tradition as he arrives in Sleepy Hollow to become the town teacher. While quickly finding friendship with the town patriarch and his spirited daughter, his presence is not wholly welcome. But not all is as it seems, for Ichabod Crane harbours his own dark secret. He is not in Sleepy Hollow by chance. When disturbing events overwhelm the small town, he finds himself swept up in a dangerous mystery which leaves him doubting his own sanity.

Beginning at the Visit York Information Centre at 1 Museum Street and with a leaflet in hand – enthusiastic taphophiles are invited to discover the location of the Brigante Tombs.

Gentle Halloween Lantern walks at Northwood Fairy Sanctuary

A Guided walk with strange tales through the twilight fairy woods. Lantern walks at dusk and first dark, aimed at little ones or those of all ages who would rather not be scared witless, but want to enjoy a more seasonal experience instead. Arrive to the Northwood kitchen and and have a free glass of alcoholic or non alcoholic punch. Then there is a guided walk with our storytelling guide cloaked in Autumn. Enjoy tales from Professor Howlands collection, as you stroll through a lantern lit fairy wood. Approximate total time 1 hour. Afterwards enjoy the Autumn grotto and the fairy museum and relax in the Northwood kitchen bar.
